Hi, i am Sara, and i will tell you about Azerbaijani culture. One of our famous stories is the damsels tower, in Azerbaijani, qiz qalasi. It tells of a girl who lived in the tower. She wanted to marry a man, but her father would not allow her, for he was a peasant, and she was royalty, so he locked her in the tower, not letting her out. But soon, the enemy invaded, and wanted to make her their slave, so she threw herself out of the tower and into the sea. The legend does not agree on one thing though, some said she survived, and some say she didnt. Some also said that the man dove in after her, but they are not sure.
