用 yòng use; need to in Mandarin Chinese

This character is itself both a radical and a phonetic. For example, it occurs as a phonetic in the simplified character 拥, which is used in the word 拥挤 (擁擠) yōngjĭ “be crowded.” Distinguish 用 from 同 tóng, 再 zài, and simplified 两 liăng.

Take some time to dive into these other pages after completing this lesson: Drinks, 爱 ài, 占(佔) zhàn occupy & 黄(黃) huáng yellow.
