Forming Sentences in the Conditional Mood[edit | edit source]
The conditional mood is used to express a hypothetical situation or an action that is dependent on another action. In Indo-Portuguese, the conditional mood is formed by using the verb "iria" (would) followed by the infinitive form of the verb. For example:
- Eu iria comer - I would eat
- Ela iria falar - She would speak
It is important to note that the verb "iria" must agree with the subject of the sentence in terms of gender and number. For example:
- Nós iríamos comer - We would eat
- Eles iriam falar - They would speak

Here are some examples of sentences in the conditional mood:
- Se eu tivesse tempo, eu iria viajar - If I had time, I would travel
- Se ela tivesse dinheiro, ela iria comprar um carro - If she had money, she would buy a car
- Se nós tivéssemos mais tempo, nós iríamos estudar mais - If we had more time, we would study more
- Se eles tivessem mais dinheiro, eles iriam comprar uma casa - If they had more money, they would buy a house
