In Haitian, "Be" is translated as "Se". It is used as a main or auxiliary verb as well. Examples of sentences with "Se" are:

   * Pronunciation: Tee chat la sè dòmi an.
   * English: The cat is sleeping.
  • Auxiliary verb: Mwen se ap manje.
   * Pronunciation: Mwen sè ap manje.
