Negative imperatives with “ნუ” in Georgian
Negative imperatives often use “ნუ”.
English | Georgian |
---|---|
Don't be so bad! | ნუ იქნები ასეთი ცუდი! |
Don't be afraid! | ნუ გეშინია! |
But “არ” is also used: Don’t be! – არ იყო! The negative forms with “არ” usually are more categorical.
