Negative imperatives with “ნუ” in Georgian

Negative imperatives often use “ნუ”.

English Georgian
Don't be so bad!  ნუ იქნები ასეთი ცუდი!
Don't be afraid!  ნუ გეშინია!

But “არ” is also used: Don’t be! – არ იყო! The negative forms with “არ” usually are more categorical.
