Hi Esperanto learners! 😊
In this lesson, we will learn vocabulary related to education in Esperanto. It is important to have a good education and to enlarge our vocabulary about it! This lesson is intended for intermediate learners of Esperanto. Before we start, let's remember that the best way to learn a language is to use it as much as possible. So, in addition to studying this lesson, practice speaking and writing with other learners on Polyglot Club! Don't hesitate to find native speakers and ask them any questions!

Basic vocabulary[edit | edit source]

Here is some basic vocabulary that you may find useful when talking about education in Esperanto. Let's start with school subjects:

Did you know that Esperanto is often used in educational contexts? It is taught in many schools and universities around the world as a way to promote linguistic and cultural diversity. Moreover, the first official Esperanto course was organized in a language school in Warsaw (Poland) in 1907!

Interesting facts[edit | edit source]

Here are some interesting facts related to education in Esperanto:

- Did you know that the word "esperanto" means "one who hopes"? It comes from the root "esper-", which means "to hope".

- The first book in Esperanto was published in 1887 by L. L. Zamenhof, the creator of the language. It was a small booklet called "Unua Libro" (First Book), which was intended to introduce the basics of the language to beginners.
