A sentence with a subject, a verb and a direct object can be expressed with 把 or 被.

Structures are like this:

• subject, verb, direct object.

我喝了水。

• subject, 把, direct object, verb.

我把水喝了。

• direct object, 被, subject, verb.

水被我喝了。

In colloquial, 被 can be replaced with 叫. In formal, 把 can be replaced with 将.
