In Chad, there are many different fruits that are grown or harvested. Some of the most commonly eaten fruits include bananas, oranges, papayas, and pineapples. Additionally, there are many varieties of berries and melons that are grown throughout the country. Fruits are an important part of the local cuisine and are often used in both sweet and savory dishes.

- The pomegranate is an important symbol in many cultures, and is often associated with fertility and prosperity. In Chadian Arabic, the word for pomegranate is ู†ูŽุงุฑูŽุฌู’ุณ. - The date palm is a very important fruit in Chadian culture. Not only do dates play a significant role in the local cuisine, but the palms themselves are considered to be a symbol of life and prosperity. - Cantaloupe is a type of melon that is often used in fruit salads or eaten on its own. In Chadian Arabic, the word for cantaloupe is ุดูุจู’ุณ.
