Expressions allow us to communicate better when expressing our emotions. Here are some common expressions related to feelings and emotions in Catalan.

  • Tinc fred/a (I'm cold)
  • Tinc calor (I'm hot)
  • Tinc fam (I'm hungry)
  • Tinc set (Im thirsty)
  • No tinc ganes de fer res (I don't feel like doing anything)
  • Què t'ha passat? (What happened to you?)
  • Què et preocupa? (What worries you?)
  • No estic d'acord (I don't agree)
  • Soc de la mateixa opinió (I feel the same way)

Dialogue[edit | edit source]

Here is a dialogue between two friends talking about their feelings:

  • Person 1: Hola amic, com estàs avui? (Hi friend, how are you feeling today?)
  • Person 2: Estic una mica cansat, i tu? (I'm a little tired, and you?)
  • Person 1: Estic feliç, acabo de comprar-me un llapis novell. (I'm happy, I just bought a new pencil.)
  • Person 2: Quina alegria! (That's great!)
  • Person 1: També estic nerviós per la meva presentació de demà. (I'm also nervous about my presentation tomorrow.)
  • Person 2: Segur que ho faràs bé. No et preocupis massa. (I'm sure you'll do great. Don't worry too much.)

- Catalonia has a rich culture and history. Catalan is an important part of Catalonia's identity and is spoken by approximately 4 million people. - The Catalan language has two dialects, Eastern and Western. The standard Catalan in literature and media is based on Eastern Catalan. - The most famous Catalan architect is Antoni Gaudí, who designed many beautiful buildings such as Casa Batlló and Sagrada Familia. - Catalonia is known for its beautiful beaches, mountain ranges, and ski resorts. It is a popular tourist destination.
