Note: You can use the above forms to ask if someone likes something or someone (or not) by just changing the intonation to a (rising intonation/question form).

  • አትወድም atwädïm? “Don’t you like?” (♂)
  • አትወጅም atwäjim? “Don’t you like?” (♀)

or

  • ትወዳለህ tïwädaläh? “Do you like?” (♂)
  • ትወጃለሽ tïwäjaläš? “Do you like?” (♀)

A. እወድሀለሁ ïwädïhalähu. to ♂

B. እወድሻለሁ ïwädïšalähu. to ♀

C. እወዳችኋለሁ ïwädačïhualähu. ( to plural)

Conjugation of “I like (love) (third person)[edit | edit source]

እወደዋለሁ ïwädäwalähu. I like (love) him.

እወዳታለሁ ïwädatalähu. I like (love) her.

እወዳቸዋለሁ ïwädačäwalähu. I like (love) them.
