Agarabi Vocabulary - Feelings and Emotions

Hi Agarabi learners! 😊
In this lesson, we will learn about feelings and emotions. Learning how to express your emotions is important in any language, especially when it comes to communicating with native speakers. In Agarabi, we have many words to describe feelings and emotions, so let's get started!

Basic Emotions[edit | edit source]

Let's start with some of the most basic emotions. Here are a few words to get you started:

Agarabi Pronunciation English
'ifra ɪfɾa Happy
la'ana laʔan̪a Angry
dar'a daɾʔa Sad
sam'i samʔi Excited

Here are a few examples of these words in context:

  • Person 1: 'ifra! (Happy!)
  • Person 2: sam'i? (Excited?)

As you can see, these words are easy to use in a sentence and will come in handy when expressing your emotions in Agarabi.

Advanced Emotions[edit | edit source]

Now that you have learned some basic emotions, let's move on to some more advanced ones:

Agarabi Pronunciation English
z'mora z̪moɾa Jealous
h'arasa ħaɾasa Anxious
k'abira kʔabira Confused
h'adima ħadima Envious

Just like before, let's see these words in context:

  • Person 1: h'arasa. mada 'ifra k'an? (Anxious. Why are you not happy?)
  • Person 2: z'mora nana. (Jealous of that.)

These emotions can be a bit more complex, but using them in context will become easier with practice.
