In Afar, the days of the week may not have their own names, but instead, they are referred to according to their position in the numerical sequence. Knowing the Afar days of the week helps in planning your schedule and daily activities.

Halloo ˈhallo: Sunday

The Afar names for days of the week can be easily memorized with practice.

  • Person 2: Haa, labadii waxay isu wada qaxaynay. (Yes, we both met.)
