🤷‍♂️🌎Who is this meetup for?
This meetup welcomes anyone who is learning a language and wants to practice speaking with native speakers and receive tips from fellow learners. All languages and proficiency levels are welcome!

🤷‍♂️🗣How it works:
Upon arrival, seek out one of our organizers who will assist you in creating a nametag and finding a seat. We will have multiple tables dedicated to specific languages. Our popular tables include Spanish, Chinese, French, Japanese, German, Korean, and Russian. We sometimes have tables for Italian, Portuguese, Hebrew, and Arabic as well. If your language isn't listed, don't worry! We have a "General/Mix table" where you can connect with others who share your interests. Remember to inform the organizers of all the languages you speak/practice to help us find the right people or set up a table for you. Commenting below with your languages significantly increases the chances of finding practice partners at the event!

During the event, we encourage you to spend half the time practicing and the other half helping others.

🤷‍♂️📌Where?
If weather permits, the event will take place outdoors in front of the New York Public Library, opposite Bryant Park. In the case of rain, we will relocate to 590 Madison Ave, a public indoor atrium with seating. Any decision to change the event location will be made on the morning of the event. You can find the respective Google map links here and here. If you have any questions, please comment below!

💵 We suggest a contribution of $1 or more from each attendee to support the organization of future language learning events. You can make the contribution in cash, through Venmo (@langroops), or pledge from this event page. Your contributions enable us to continue hosting these fun language learning events!

🥤 Bottled water is usually available at the entrance for $1 (drop it in the box).

🚫 We kindly request that participants refrain from discussing political and religious topics and engaging in any form of solicitation. This event is not intended for dating purposes, so please avoid any interactions that may make other attendees uncomfortable. If you encounter any inappropriate behavior, please approach one of the organizers.

📷* We may take photos at the event for memories and social media. We will try to notify you beforehand.
