The West Town Social Club presents the Indoor Volleyball Tournament. This tournament is designed for individual players, eliminating the need to form a whole team or convince your hesitant friends to join. All registered players will be assigned to one of four teams based on their self-ratings, ensuring balanced and fair teams.

Whether you're a beginner or an expert volleyball player, this event offers a non-competitive and fun atmosphere for everyone to enjoy. At West Town Social Club, our priority is having a great time! The tournament will be co-ed, giving everyone an opportunity to participate.

Tournament Rules:
The tournament will follow standard recreational volleyball rules. Detailed rules, team assignments, and schedule will be sent via email prior to the event.

Tournament Format:
All matchups will be best of three. The first-round losers will compete for 3rd place in the second round, while the first-round winners will battle for 1st place.

After Party:
Join us for an amazing after party at our sponsor bar, Barcocina! It's a short drive or a quick bus ride (via the #66 Chicago Ave bus) from Smith Park. Barcocina is offering $25 Corona buckets, $25 Corona Seltzer buckets, and $10 margaritas exclusively for our participants.

Teammate Requests/Full Team Signups:
If you register a friend or significant other, we will ensure that you both play on the same team! Requests for additional teammates will be considered on a case-by-case basis until one week prior to the tournament, but we cannot guarantee fulfillment. Please remember that this is a social event focused on meeting new people and having fun, rather than intense competition. Full team signups are not available.

While we aim to make this tournament a memorable experience, there are a few important notes to consider:

Please review the following:

Age Requirement: All participants must be at least 21 years old to join the tournament. The organizer may request proof of age on the day of the event, so please bring identification. Participants who fail to provide proof of age will be denied participation without a refund.

Alcohol Policy: The Chicago Park District strictly prohibits the consumption of alcohol in city parks and fieldhouses. If you are caught drinking during the event, you will be asked to dispose of your beverage. Further alcohol consumption will result in removal from the event and potential banning from future West Town Social Club events. Please refrain from consuming alcohol on the premises; there are plenty of nearby establishments for pregame drinks. However, please ensure you are not heavily intoxicated upon arrival as it may affect your participation.

Refund Policy: Refunds will only be issued in the event of a non-weather related cancellation. Credit towards future events may be considered on a case-by-case basis up to 2 weeks prior to the tournament.

Waiver: All participants are required to sign a waiver upon arrival, acknowledging that West Town Social Club will not be held responsible for any injuries or illnesses that may occur during the volleyball tournament. Failure to sign the waiver will result in denial of participation without a refund.
