Join us for an exciting in-person language exchange event at the World Languages Café!

Experience a friendly and immersive environment where you can practice the language you know or are learning, meet new people, and dive into diverse cultures. Enhance your fluency, learn useful travel phrases, and reconnect with your childhood language.

Our monthly World Languages Café gatherings take place on the second Thursdays of each month from 7-9pm at the Howard County Library Miller Branch. Choose a language table to join, led by a native speaker who will guide the conversations. Languages offered include ASL, Arabic, Mandarin Chinese, Cantonese Chinese, Dutch, English, Esperanto, Farsi, French, German, Haitian Creole, Hebrew, Hindi, Irish Gaelic, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, and Turkish.

Children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult. Feel free to bring food and beverages, and share treats from your culture with your table mates.
