Join us for the exciting return of the World Languages Café in-person event!

The World Languages Café provides a welcoming space to practice a language you know or are learning, engage in conversation in a relaxed setting, connect with like-minded individuals interested in diverse cultures, improve your language skills through speaking and listening, acquire useful phrases for travel, and reconnect with your childhood language.

Our monthly World Languages Café gatherings take place on the second Thursday of each month from 7-9pm at the Howard County Library Miller Branch. Choose a language table to join, each led by a native speaker to guide the discussions. Languages available include American Sign Language, Arabic, Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese), Dutch, English, Esperanto, Farsi, French, German, Haitian Creole, Hebrew, Hindi, Irish Gaelic, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, and Turkish.

Children under 13 should be accompanied by an adult. Attendees are encouraged to bring food and drinks, as well as share cultural treats with their tablemates.
