About the Event

After a hiatus last year, the Language Exchange Happy Hour AND Friending event is back! While we may not be able to accommodate as many attendees as before, we are excited to bring together language enthusiasts and cultural explorers once again. Hurry, as spots are limited and advance ticket purchase is required.

In these challenging times, staying connected with old friends and making new ones has become more important than ever. That's why we've added a Friending component to our event. We share a passion for languages, diverse cultures, and international experiences.

How It Works:

Tables will be assigned for each represented language, allowing attendees to connect with others who share their language interests. All languages are welcome, but please note that we cannot guarantee a partner for every language exchange. After the formal session, attendees will have the opportunity to rotate from table to table, ensuring that everyone gets to meet and interact with one another. The lingua franca for this session will be English, providing a common ground for communication.

Beyond language exchange, this event is a perfect opportunity to meet potential friends, acquaintances, buddies, and partners-in-crime. Whether you're looking for companionship in outdoor activities like biking, hiking, skiing, or traveling, this event caters to all. It's also ideal for newcomers to the area, offering a chance to connect with like-minded individuals.

Your ticket price includes a Taco and a choice of a House Margarita, House Wine, or House Beer. Cash bar will be available afterwards. Don't miss out on trying our featured cocktail, the Mer-Tini. Just ask your bartenders.

Rules to Abide:

1. This event is strictly for attendees aged 21 and above. Please bring your ID.
2. Show respect to your language exchange partners and give everyone a chance to engage with others.
3. As native speakers, let's be willing to help others and accommodate their language learning needs as much as possible.
4. If you are unable to speak the required language of another person, please respect their exchange preferences and allow them to connect with someone else.
5. Rude or aggressive behavior will result in removal from the group at the organizer's discretion.
6. This event is for face-to-face language exchange only. Please refrain from attempting to arrange online meetings through the comment box or direct messages.
7. Instead of writing in the comment box, send a message to the organizers if you have any questions or concerns. This ensures that unnecessary notifications are not sent to all attendees.
8. We have a zero-tolerance policy for solicitation during the event. Please refrain from promoting or pursuing personal agendas. If you are interested in promoting, sponsoring, or collaborating, contact us at vincent.
9. Upon arrival, our friendly staff will greet you and guide you to your respective language group.
10. Don't hesitate to share your local languages. We have diplomats assigned to different countries who would love to practice your language with you.

Refund & Ticket Resell

All ticket sales are final. In the event of cancellation, a full refund will be provided. If the event is rescheduled, an email will be sent to those who RSVPed 'YES' with the updated information. If you are unable to attend the rescheduled event, please inform us within 2 calendar days of receiving the update email to receive a full refund. No refunds will be given after this time.
