Join us at Zorba's Cafe near the Dupont Circle for an exciting event on Thursday, August 31, 2023, at 5:30 PM! We will be gathering on the 2nd floor of the cafe or, if the weather permits, outside at a table on the street. In case you don't spot anyone on the 2nd floor, head to the table outside.

Dear participants! For those who haven't attended our meetups before, the number of people who sign up is usually fewer than those who actually come. Our regular attendees are accustomed to not RSVPing and simply showing up anytime between 5:30 and 8 PM. So feel free to RSVP and join us!

Welcome back to our beloved old venue, Zorba's Cafe, where we have been gathering for years. We will be on the 2nd floor.

Address: 1612 20th St NW, Washington, DC 20009. The cafe is conveniently located near the Metro Dupont Circle station.

This is the familiar place where we used to meet every Thursday evening before 2015. Let's revive those memories!

Everyone is welcome to join us, but please remember to converse only in Russian. This is a great opportunity for all of us to practice the language. Moreover, happy hour prices are available!

Timing: Usually, someone is there by 5:30 PM, but sometimes the organizers arrive by 5:45 PM or so. If you happen to be the first one to arrive, please wait - we will be there soon! The gathering usually lasts until at least 8 PM, so if you can't make it right at the beginning, don't worry, arriving late is perfectly fine!

RSVP's: We encourage you to RSVP, although many people don't. So even if it seems like only a few people are planning to attend, rest assured, we usually have a lively and diverse group! (And newcomers are always welcome, so if it's your first time, you won't be alone.)

Also, when the weather is pleasant, we often sit outdoors. If you don't find anyone on the second floor, look for our Russian-speaking group at the tables outside on the street.

And once again, we have often had only a few RSVPs but a much larger turnout of around 15 people. So don't worry about the numbers!
