IMPORTANT UPDATE - MAY 2023

Hello everyone! Starting from Monday, May 8th, our gatherings will take place on Monday evenings at Curlers and Thursday evenings at Tennent's!

When you arrive at Tennent's through the Byres Road entrance, you will typically find two reserved tables on the left for our group.

Frequently Asked Questions

What level of proficiency is required to attend?
Our group welcomes participants of all skill levels, from complete beginners to fluent speakers. However, having some conversational skills will enhance your experience!

What if I can’t arrive exactly at 7:00 PM?
No worries! Our meetups are casual and we usually stick around for several hours. Feel free to join us whenever you can. If you arrive at 7:00 PM and don’t see anyone, just wait about 15-20 minutes for others to show up!

What if there’s only one RSVP? Will the event still occur?
While the event page might show only a couple of RSVPs, we often have regular attendees who join us. Typically, our group size is around 10-15 people.

If you're looking to practice and enhance your Spanish or English skills, come join us at The Tennent's Bar on Byres Road at 7 PM on Mondays and Thursdays. We have different hosts on various nights, and even if there’s no host, you’ll find friendly faces ready to welcome you. We usually settle in the long benches at the top of the stairs. We can’t wait to meet you and chat in both Spanish and English!

We kick off with a 'Spanish half hour' followed by an 'English half hour' to ensure both languages are given equal attention, often spiced up with fun topics to keep the conversation lively. We look forward to seeing our regulars and warmly welcome newcomers!
