Hello everyone! Starting from Monday, May 8th, our Monday evenings will be held upstairs at Curlers, and Thursdays will be at Tennent's!

When you enter Tennent's from the Byres Rd entrance, you'll find the 2 tables on the left reserved for us.

Frequently Asked Questions

What level of proficiency is required to join?
The group welcomes everyone, from beginners to native speakers. Even a basic conversational ability is beneficial to participate!

If I can't make it exactly at 7:00 PM, is that a problem?
The group is laid-back, typically staying for a few hours, so feel free to join whenever you can. If you arrive at 7:00 PM and no one is there yet, give it about 15-20 minutes for others to show up!

What if only one person has RSVP'd, will the event still happen?
While the RSVP count may show only 1 or 2 people, there are usually more regular attendees, with the group size averaging around 10-15 people.

If you're looking to practice and enhance your Spanish or English skills, join us at The Tennent's Bar on Byres Road at 7 pm on Mondays and Thursdays. We have different hosts on different nights, and occasionally none, but there will always be friendly folks to give you a warm welcome. You can find us at the top of the stairs where we'll be seated on the long benches. We're excited to meet you and chat in Spanish and English.

We kick off with a 'Spanish half hour' followed by an 'English half hour' to ensure each language gets equal time and engage in fun topics to keep the conversation flowing. We can't wait to see our regulars and extend a warm welcome to new members.
