Hello everyone! Starting from Monday, May 8th, our Monday evenings will be held upstairs at Curlers, and Thursdays will be at Tennent's!

When you enter Tennent's from the Byres Rd entrance, you'll find the two tables on the left reserved for our group.

Frequently Asked Questions

What level is required to join?
The group welcomes everyone, from beginners to native speakers. Even a basic conversational ability is helpful to participate!

If I can't make it by 7:00 PM, is it a problem?
The group is casual, and we usually stay for a few hours, so feel free to join whenever you can. If you arrive at 7:00 PM and no one's there yet, give it 15-20 minutes for others to arrive!

What if only one person is signed up?
Don't worry if the event page shows only a few RSVPs. We usually have regular attendees, with a typical group size of 10-15.

If you want to practice and improve your Spanish or English, join us at The Tennent's Bar on Byres Road at 7 pm on Mondays and Thursdays. We have different hosts on different nights, and sometimes none, but there will always be friendly people to give you a warm welcome. Find us at the top of the stairs where we'll be sitting on the long benches. We're excited to meet you and chat in Spanish and English.

We begin with a 'Spanish half hour' followed by an 'English half hour' to give each language equal time and engage in fun topics to keep the conversation flowing. We can't wait to see our regulars and extend a warm welcome to new members.
