Hello everyone! Starting from Monday, May 8th, our Monday evenings will be held at Curlers, and Thursdays will be at Tennent's!

Curlers is conveniently located next to Hillhead subway on Byres Rd. When you arrive, head upstairs and turn right to find us usually at the table in the far left corner by the window. At Tennent's, enter from Byres Rd, turn left, and you'll spot us at one of the tables by the windows!

Frequently Asked Questions

What level is required to join?
Our group welcomes everyone, from beginners to native speakers. It's beneficial to have at least a basic conversational ability to participate!

If I can't make it exactly at 7:00 PM, is that a problem?
Our gatherings are very informal, and we usually stay for a few hours, so feel free to join whenever you can. If you arrive at 7:00 PM and no one's there yet, give it 15-20 minutes for others to arrive!

What if only one person is signed up, will the event still happen?
Although the RSVP count may show only 1 or 2 people, we typically have a regular group of around 10-15 attendees.

If you want to practice and improve your Spanish or English, join us at The Tennent's Bar on Byres Road at 7pm on Mondays and Thursdays. We have different hosts on different nights, and occasionally none, but there will always be friendly people to give you a warm welcome. You can find us at the top of the stairs where we'll be seated on the long benches. We look forward to meeting you and chatting in Spanish and English.

We kick off with a 'Spanish half hour' followed by an 'English half hour' to ensure each language gets equal time and some engaging topics to keep the conversation flowing. We're excited to see our regulars and extend a warm welcome to new members as well.
