Hello everyone! Starting from Monday, May 8th, our Monday evenings will be held at Curlers and Thursdays evenings at Tennent's!

Curlers is conveniently located next to Hillhead subway on Byres Rd. When you enter, head upstairs, turn right, and you'll usually find us at the table in the far left corner by the window. Alternatively, when you enter Tennent's from Byres Rd, turn left, and we are typically at one of the tables by the windows!

Frequently Asked Questions

What level is required to join?
The group is open to everyone, from beginners to native speakers. Even a little conversational ability will be helpful to participate!

If I can't make it exactly at 7:00 PM, is that okay?
The group is very relaxed, usually staying for several hours, so come whenever you can. If you arrive at 7:00 PM and no one is there yet, give it about 15-20 minutes for others to arrive!

What if only one person is signed up, will the event still happen?
While the event page may show only 1 or 2 RSVPs, there are usually more regular attendees, with a typical group size of around 10-15 people.

If you want to practice and improve your Spanish or English, join us at The Tennent's Bar on Byres Road at 7:00 PM on Mondays and Thursdays. We have different hosts on different nights, and sometimes none, but there will always be friendly people to give you a warm welcome. You can find us at the top of the stairs where we'll be seated on the long benches. We look forward to meeting you and chatting with you in Spanish and English.

We begin with a 'Spanish half hour' followed by an 'English half hour' to ensure each language gets equal time and explore fun topics to keep conversations flowing. We are excited to see our regular members and extend a warm welcome to new attendees.
