Hello everyone! Starting from Monday, May 8th, our Monday evenings will be at Curlers and Thursdays at Tennent's!

When you arrive at Tennent's from the Byres Rd entrance, you can find the two reserved tables on the left.

Frequently Asked Questions

What level of proficiency is required to join?
The group welcomes everyone, from beginners to native speakers. Having some conversational ability is beneficial, but not mandatory.

If I can't make it exactly at 7:00 PM, is that a problem?
The group is very casual, usually lasting for a few hours. Feel free to join whenever you can. If you arrive at 7:00 PM and no one is there yet, give it 15-20 minutes for others to arrive!

What if only one person has RSVP'd?
While the event page may show only a couple of RSVPs, there are usually more regular attendees, with the usual group size ranging from 10-15.

Join us at The Tennent's Bar on Byres Road at 7:00 PM on Mondays and Thursdays to practice and improve your Spanish or English. We have different hosts on different nights, and sometimes none, but you can always count on meeting friendly people who will give you a warm welcome. You can find us at the top of the stairs, sitting on the long benches. We look forward to meeting you and chatting with you in Spanish and English.

We kick off with a 'Spanish half hour' followed by an 'English half hour' to ensure each language gets equal time and to introduce fun topics to keep the conversation flowing. We are excited to see our regular members and extend a warm welcome to newcomers.
