Hello everyone! Starting from Monday, May 8th, our Monday evenings will be at Curlers and Thursdays evenings at Tennent's!

When you enter Tennent's from the Byres Rd entrance, you'll find the two reserved tables on the left.

Frequently Asked Questions

What level is required to attend?
The group welcomes everyone, from beginners to native speakers. It's helpful to have at least some conversational ability to participate!

If I can't make it exactly at 7:00 PM, is that okay?
The group is very casual, usually lasting a few hours, so join whenever you can. If you arrive at 7:00 PM and no one's there yet, give it 15-20 minutes for others to arrive!

What if only one person is signed up, will the event still take place?
Although the event page may show only a few RSVPs, there are usually more regular attendees, with the usual group size being around 10-15.

If you want to practice and improve your Spanish or English, join us at The Tennent's Bar on Byres Road at 7 pm on Mondays and Thursdays. We have different hosts on different nights, and sometimes none, but there will always be friendly people to give you a warm welcome. You can find us at the top of the stairs where we'll be sitting on the long benches. We look forward to meeting you and chatting with you in Spanish and English.

We begin with a 'Spanish half hour' followed by an 'English half hour' to ensure each language gets equal time and perhaps some fun topics to keep everyone engaged. We are excited to see our regulars and extend a warm welcome to new members.
