Hello everyone! Starting from Monday, May 8th, our Monday evenings will be held upstairs at Curlers, and Thursdays will be at Tennent's!

Curlers is conveniently located next to Hillhead subway on Byres Rd. When you enter, head upstairs, turn right, and you'll usually find us at the table in the far left corner by the window. At Tennent's, just turn left after entering from Byres Rd, and we're typically at one of the tables by the windows!

FAQs

What level is required to attend?
The group welcomes everyone, from beginners to native speakers. It's beneficial to have some conversational ability to participate!

If I can't make it at exactly 7:00 PM, is that a problem?
The group is very casual, usually staying for a few hours, so feel free to join whenever you can. If you arrive at 7:00 PM and no one's there yet, give it 15-20 minutes for others to arrive!

What if only one person is signed up, will the event still happen?
While the RSVP count may show only 1 or 2 people, there are usually more regular attendees, with a typical group size of around 10-15.

If you want to practice and improve your Spanish or English, join us at The Tennent's Bar on Byres Road at 7:00 PM on Mondays and Thursdays. We have different hosts on different nights, and sometimes none, but there will always be friendly people to give you a warm welcome. You can find us at the top of the stairs where we'll be seated on the long benches. We're excited to meet you and chat in Spanish and English.

We begin with a 'Spanish half hour' followed by an 'English half hour' to ensure each language gets equal time and perhaps some engaging topics to keep everyone conversing. We can't wait to see our regulars and extend a special welcome to new members.
