Hello everyone! Starting from Monday, May 8th, our Monday evenings will be held upstairs at Curlers and Thursdays evenings at Tennent's!

Curlers is conveniently located next to Hillhead subway on Byres Rd. When you arrive, head upstairs, turn right, and look for us at the table in the far left corner by the window. At Tennent's, upon entering from Byres Rd, turn left, and you'll likely find us at one of the tables by the windows!

Frequently Asked Questions

What level of proficiency is required to join?
Our group welcomes everyone, from beginners to native speakers. Having even a basic conversational ability is helpful to participate!

If I can't make it exactly at 7:00 PM, is that a problem?
Our gatherings are very relaxed, usually lasting for a few hours. Feel free to join whenever you can. If you arrive at 7:00 PM and don't see anyone yet, give it 15-20 minutes for others to arrive!

What if only one person has RSVP'd, will the event still happen?
While the RSVP count may show only a few attendees, we usually have a regular group of 10-15 people who join in.

If you're looking to practice and improve your Spanish or English, come join us at The Tennent's Bar on Byres Road at 7:00 PM on Mondays and Thursdays. We have different hosts on different nights, and occasionally none, but you'll always find friendly faces ready to welcome you. Look for us at the top of the stairs where we'll be seated on the long benches. We're excited to meet you and chat in Spanish and English!

We kick off with a 'Spanish half hour' followed by an 'English half hour' to ensure both languages get equal time and lively topics to keep the conversation flowing. We're eager to see our regulars and extend a warm welcome to new members.
