Greetings everyone! Starting from Monday, May 8th, our Monday gatherings will be held upstairs at Curlers, and Thursday evenings at Tennent's!

When you arrive at Tennent's from the Byres Rd entrance, you can typically find the two reserved tables on the left.

Frequently Asked Questions

What level of proficiency is required to join?
Our group welcomes and includes individuals of all proficiency levels, from beginners to native speakers. Having even a basic conversational ability is beneficial for participation!

If I can't make it at exactly 7:00 PM, is that a problem?
Our gatherings are very casual, usually lasting for a few hours, so feel free to join whenever you can. If you arrive at 7:00 PM and no one is there yet, give it about 15-20 minutes for others to arrive!

What if only one person has RSVP'd, will the event still take place?
While the event page may show only 1 or 2 RSVPs, we typically have more regular attendees, with a usual group size of around 10-15 people.

If you're looking to practice and improve your Spanish or English, join us at The Tennent's Bar on Byres Road at 7pm on Mondays and Thursdays. We have different hosts on different nights, and occasionally none, but there will always be friendly people to give you a warm welcome. You can find us at the top of the stairs where we'll be sitting on the long benches. We're excited to meet you and chat in Spanish and English.

We kick off with a 'Spanish half hour' followed by an 'English half hour' to ensure each language gets equal time and perhaps explore some fun topics to keep the conversation flowing. We can't wait to see our regulars and extend a warm welcome to new members as well.
