Hello everyone! Starting from Monday, 8th May, our Monday evenings will be held upstairs at Curlers and Thursdays evenings at Tennent's!

Curlers is conveniently located next to Hillhead subway on Byres Rd. Upon entering, head upstairs and turn right to find us at the table in the far left corner by the window. At Tennent's, simply turn left upon entering from Byres Rd to find us at one of the tables by the windows!

Frequently Asked Questions

What level of proficiency is required to attend?
Our group welcomes everyone, from beginners to native speakers. Even a basic conversational ability is helpful to participate!

If I can't make it exactly at 7:00 PM, is that okay?
Our gatherings are very casual, usually lasting for a few hours, so feel free to join whenever you can. If you arrive at 7:00 PM and no one is there yet, give it some time for others to arrive!

What if only one person is signed up for the event?
Although the RSVP count may show only 1 or 2 people, we typically have a regular group size of around 10-15 attendees.

Join us at The Tennent's Bar on Byres Road at 7:00 PM on Mondays and Thursdays to practice and improve your Spanish or English skills. We have different hosts on different nights, and sometimes none, but there will always be friendly people to warmly welcome you. You can find us at the top of the stairs where we'll be sitting on the long benches. We're excited to meet you and chat in Spanish and English.

We kick off with a 'Spanish half hour' followed by an 'English half hour' to ensure each language gets equal time and engaging topics to keep the conversation flowing. We can't wait to see our regular members and extend a warm welcome to newcomers.
