Hello everyone! Starting from Monday, May 8th, our Monday evenings will be held upstairs at Curlers and Thursdays at Tennent's!

When you arrive at Tennent's from the Byres Rd entrance, you'll find the 2 tables on the left reserved for our group.

Frequently Asked Questions

What level of proficiency is required to join?
This group welcomes everyone, from beginners to native speakers. Having some conversational ability is helpful, but all are welcome!

If I can't make it exactly at 7:00 PM, is that okay?
The group is very casual, and we usually stay for a few hours, so feel free to join whenever you can. If you arrive at 7:00 PM and no one is there yet, give it 15-20 minutes for others to arrive!

What if only one person is signed up for the event?
Even if the event page shows only 1 or 2 RSVPs, we usually have regular attendees, with a group size of around 10-15 people.

Join us at The Tennent's Bar on Byres Road at 7:00 PM on Mondays and Thursdays to practice and improve your Spanish or English. We have different hosts on different nights, and sometimes none, but there will always be friendly people to give you a warm welcome. You can find us at the top of the stairs where we'll be sitting on the long benches. We're looking forward to meeting you and chatting with you in Spanish and English.

We begin with a 'Spanish half hour' followed by an 'English half hour' to ensure each language gets equal time and some fun topics to keep the conversation going. We can't wait to see our regulars and extend a special welcome to new members.
