Hello everyone! Starting from Monday, May 8th, our Monday evenings will be held upstairs at Curlers and Thursdays evenings at Tennent's!

When you arrive at Tennent's from the Byres Rd entrance, you can find our reserved tables on the left.

Frequently Asked Questions

What level is required to join?
The group welcomes everyone, from beginners to native speakers. Having some conversational ability is beneficial, but all are encouraged to participate!

If I can't make it at exactly 7:00 PM, is that a problem?
The group is very casual, typically staying for several hours, so feel free to join whenever you can. If you arrive at 7:00 PM and no one is there yet, give it some time for others to arrive!

What if there is only one person signed up?
While the event page may show only a few RSVPs, there are usually more regular attendees, with a usual group size of around 10-15.

If you want to practice and improve your Spanish or English, join us at The Tennent's Bar on Byres Road at 7pm on Mondays and Thursdays. We have different hosts on different nights, and sometimes none, but there will always be friendly people to give you a warm welcome. You can find us at the top of the stairs where we'll be sitting on the long benches. We look forward to meeting you and chatting with you in Spanish and English.

We begin with a 'Spanish half hour' followed by an 'English half hour' to ensure each language gets equal time and possibly some fun topics to keep the conversation flowing. We can't wait to see our regulars and especially welcome new members.
