Hello everyone! Starting from Monday, May 8th, our Monday evenings will be held upstairs at Curlers and Thursdays evenings at Tennent's!

When you enter Tennent's from the Byres Rd entrance, you will find the two reserved tables on the left.

Frequently Asked Questions

What level is required to join?
The group is open to everyone, from beginners to native speakers. Having some conversational ability is helpful, but all are welcome!

If I can't make it at exactly 7:00 PM, is that a problem?
The group is very casual, so feel free to join whenever you can. If you arrive at 7:00 PM and nobody is there yet, give it some time as people usually arrive within 15-20 minutes!

What if only one person is signed up for the event?
Even if the RSVP count is low on the event page, we usually have around 10-15 regular attendees, so the event will still go ahead.

Join us at The Tennent's Bar on Byres Road at 7pm on Mondays and Thursdays to practice and improve your Spanish or English. We have different hosts on different nights, and sometimes none, but there will always be friendly people to give you a warm welcome. You can find us at the top of the stairs where we will be sitting on the long benches. We are excited to meet you and chat with you in Spanish and English.

We begin with a 'Spanish half hour' followed by an 'English half hour' to give each language equal time and to cover fun topics to keep everyone engaged. We can't wait to see our regulars and extend a warm welcome to new members.
