Hello everyone! Starting from Monday, May 8th, our Monday evenings will be held upstairs at Curlers, and Thursday evenings will be at Tennent's!

When you enter Tennent's from the Byres Rd entrance, you'll usually find the two reserved tables on the left.

FAQs

What level is required to attend?
The group is open to everyone, from beginners to native speakers. However, having at least basic conversational ability will be helpful to participate.

If I can't make it exactly at 7:00 PM, is it a problem?
The group is very informal, and we usually stay for a few hours, so feel free to join whenever you can. If you arrive at 7:00 PM and nobody is there yet, give it around 15-20 minutes for people to arrive!

There is only one person signed up, will the event still happen?
Although the event page may show only 1 or 2 RSVPs, there are usually more regular attendees. The usual group size is around 10-15 people.

If you want to practice and improve your Spanish or English, join us at The Tennent's Bar on Byres Road at 7:00 PM on Mondays and Thursdays. We have different hosts on different nights, and occasionally no host, but there will always be friendly people to give you a warm welcome. You can find us at the top of the stairs, where we'll be sitting on the long benches. We're looking forward to meeting you and chatting with you in Spanish and English.

We start with a 'Spanish half hour' followed by an 'English half hour' so that each language gets equal time and maybe some fun topics to keep everyone engaged. We can't wait to see all the regulars and especially welcome new members.
