Hello everyone! Starting from Monday, May 8th, our Monday evenings will be held upstairs at Curlers, and Thursdays evenings will be at Tennent's!

Curlers is conveniently located next to Hillhead subway on Byres Rd. When you enter, head upstairs, turn right, and you'll usually find us at the table in the far left corner by the window. Alternatively, when you enter Tennent's from Byres Rd, turn left, and we'll be at one of the tables by the windows!

FAQs

What level is required to attend?
The group is open to everyone, from beginners to native speakers. However, having at least some conversational ability will be helpful to participate!

If I can't make it exactly at 7:00 PM, is that a problem?
The group is very informal, and we usually stay for a few hours at least. So feel free to join us whenever you can make it. If you arrive at 7:00 PM and nobody is there yet, give it about 15-20 minutes for people to arrive!

There is only one person signed up, will the event still take place?
While the event page might show only 1 or 2 people have RSVP'd, we usually have more regular attendees, and the typical group size is around 10-15 people.

If you want to practice and improve your Spanish or English, join us at The Tennent's Bar on Byres Road at 7:00 PM on Mondays and Thursdays. We have different hosts on different nights, and occasionally none, but there will always be friendly people to give you a warm welcome. You can find us at the top of the stairs where we'll be sitting on the long benches. We're excited to meet you and chat with you in Spanish and English.

We start with a 'Spanish half hour' followed by an 'English half hour' so that each language gets equal time and perhaps some fun topics to keep everyone chatting. We look forward to seeing all the regulars and especially welcome new members.
