Hello everyone! Starting from Monday, May 8th, our Monday evenings will be held upstairs at Curlers, and our Thursday evenings will be at Tennent's!

When you enter Tennent's from the Byres Rd entrance, you will usually find the two reserved tables on the left.

Frequently Asked Questions

What level is required to attend?
This group is open to and attended by everyone, from beginners to native speakers. However, having even a basic conversational ability will help you participate.

If I can't arrive exactly at 7:00 PM, is it a problem?
The group is very informal, and we usually stay for a few hours. So feel free to join whenever you can make it. If you arrive at 7:00 PM and nobody is there yet, give it about 15-20 minutes for others to arrive!

What if only one person is signed up, will the event still take place?
While the event page may show only 1 or 2 people RSVP'd, there are usually more regular attendees, and the usual group size is around 10-15 people.

If you want to practice and improve your Spanish or English, join us at The Tennent's Bar on Byres Road at 7:00 PM on Mondays and Thursdays. We have different hosts on different nights, and occasionally no host, but there will always be friendly people to give you a warm welcome. You can find us at the top of the stairs where we will be sitting on the long benches. We are excited to meet you and chat with you in Spanish and English.

We start with a 'Spanish half hour' followed by an 'English half hour' so that each language gets equal time and maybe some fun topics to keep everyone engaged. We look forward to seeing our regular attendees and especially welcome new members.
