Hello everyone! Starting from Monday 8th May, our Monday evening meetings will take place upstairs at Curlers, and on Thursdays evenings, we will gather at Tennent's!

When you enter Tennent's from the Byres Rd entrance, you will usually find the two tables on the left reserved for our group.

Frequently Asked Questions

What level is required to join?
Everyone is welcome to join, regardless of their language proficiency level. From beginners to native speakers, we have a diverse range of attendees. However, having at least some conversational ability will enhance your experience.

If I can't make it exactly at 7:00 PM, is that a problem?
Our gatherings are very informal, and we usually stay for a few hours. Feel free to join whenever you can make it. If you arrive at 7:00 PM and no one is there yet, give it around 15-20 minutes for people to arrive!

I see only one person signed up, will the event still take place?
Although the event page may show only 1 or 2 RSVPs, we usually have more regular attendees. The typical group size is around 10-15 people.

If you want to practice and improve your Spanish or English, join us at The Tennent's Bar on Byres Road at 7:00 PM every Monday and Thursday. We have different hosts on different nights, and occasionally none, but there will always be friendly people to give you a warm welcome. You can find us at the top of the stairs, where we will be seated on the long benches. We are excited to meet you and chat with you in Spanish and English.

We start with a 'Spanish half hour' followed by an 'English half hour' so that each language gets equal time and perhaps some fun topics to keep everyone chatting. We look forward to seeing all the regulars and especially welcome new members.
