Hello everyone! Starting from Monday, May 8th, we will be upstairs at Curlers on Mondays and at Tennent's on Thursdays!

Curlers is conveniently located next to Hillhead subway on Byres Rd. When you enter, head upstairs and turn right. You'll usually find us at the table in the far left corner by the window. Alternatively, if you enter Tennent's from Byres Rd, turn left and you'll spot us at one of the tables by the windows!

Frequently Asked Questions

What level is required to attend?
The group welcomes everyone, from beginners to native speakers. Having some conversational ability is helpful, but even if you're just starting out, feel free to join in!

What if I can't make it exactly at 7:00 PM?
No worries! The group is very informal and we usually stay for a few hours. Come along whenever you can make it. If you arrive at 7:00 PM and nobody is there yet, give it around 15-20 minutes for people to arrive!

What if only one person has RSVPd?
Don't worry about the event page showing only 1 or 2 RSVPs. There are usually more regular attendees, and the typical group size is around 10-15 people.

If you want to practice and improve your Spanish or English, join us at The Tennent's Bar on Byres Road at 7:00 PM every Monday and Thursday. We have different hosts on different nights, and occasionally no host, but there will always be friendly people to give you a warm welcome. You can find us at the top of the stairs, sitting on the long benches. We look forward to meeting you and chatting in Spanish and English.

We start with a 'Spanish half hour' followed by an 'English half hour' to ensure each language gets equal time and to discuss fun topics that keep everyone engaged. We can't wait to see our regular members and extend a special welcome to newcomers.
