Hello everyone! Starting from Monday, May 8th, our Monday evening gatherings will be held upstairs at Curlers, and on Thursdays, we'll be at Tennent's!

Curlers is conveniently located next to Hillhead subway station on Byres Rd. When you enter, go upstairs, turn right, and you'll usually find us at the table in the far left corner by the window. Alternatively, when you enter Tennent's from Byres Rd, turn left, and we are normally at one of the tables by the windows!

FAQs

What level is required to attend?
The group welcomes everyone, from beginners to native speakers. However, having at least some conversational ability would be helpful to actively participate.

If I can't make it exactly at 7:00 PM, is it a problem?
The group is very casual, and we usually stay for a few hours at least. So feel free to join whenever you can make it. If you arrive at 7:00 PM and no one is there yet, give it around 15-20 minutes for people to arrive!

What if only one person has signed up, will the event still happen?
Although the event page may show only 1 or 2 RSVPs, there are usually more regular attendees, and the usual group size is around 10-15 people.

If you want to practice and improve your Spanish or English, join us at The Tennent's Bar on Byres Road at 7:00 PM on Mondays and Thursdays. We have different hosts on different nights, and occasionally no host, but there will always be friendly people to give you a warm welcome. You can find us at the top of the stairs, where we'll be sitting on the long benches. We're excited to meet you and chat with you in Spanish and English.

We start with a 'Spanish half hour' followed by an 'English half hour' so that each language gets an equal amount of time and perhaps some fun topics to keep everyone engaged in conversation. We can't wait to see all the regular members and especially welcome new participants.
