Hola a todos! Starting from Monday 8th May, our Monday evening gatherings will take place upstairs at Curlers, and on Thursdays evenings at Tennent's!

Curlers is conveniently located next to Hillhead subway on Byres Rd. When you enter, head upstairs, turn right, and you'll usually find us at the table in the far left corner by the window. Alternatively, when you enter Tennent's from Byres Rd, turn left, and we typically occupy one of the tables by the windows!

FAQs

What level of language proficiency is required to join?

Our group is open to and attended by individuals of all language levels, from beginners to native speakers. However, having at least some conversational ability can enhance your experience!

What if I can't arrive exactly at 7:00 PM?

We have a very relaxed atmosphere, and our gatherings usually last for a few hours at least. Feel free to join us whenever you can make it. If you arrive at 7:00 PM and don't see anyone yet, give it about 15-20 minutes for others to arrive!

What if there's only one person signed up?

While the event page may sometimes show only 1 or 2 people RSVP'd, we usually have more regular attendees, with a typical group size of around 10-15 people.

If you want to practice and improve your Spanish or English, join us at The Tennent's Bar on Byres Road at 7:00 PM every Monday and Thursday. We have different hosts on different nights, and occasionally none, but there will always be friendly people to give you a warm welcome. You can find us at the top of the stairs, where we'll be sitting on the long benches. We're excited to meet you and chat with you in Spanish and English.

We start with a 'Spanish half hour' followed by an 'English half hour' to ensure each language receives equal time and to discuss some fun topics that keep everyone engaged. We can't wait to see our regular members and extend a special welcome to newcomers.
