Hello everyone! Starting from Monday, May 8th, our Monday evening meetups will be held upstairs at Curlers, and on Thursdays, we will gather at Tennent's!

Curlers is conveniently located next to Hillhead subway on Byres Rd. When you enter, head upstairs, turn right, and you'll usually find us at the table in the far left corner by the window. Alternatively, when you enter Tennent's from Byres Rd, turn left, and we're normally at one of the tables by the windows!

FAQs

What level is required to join?

Our group is open to and attended by people of all levels, from beginners to native speakers. However, having at least some conversational ability will enhance your experience!

What if I can't make it at exactly 7:00 PM?

Our meetups are very informal, and we usually stay for a few hours. So, feel free to join whenever you can make it. If you arrive at 7:00 PM and nobody is there yet, give it about 15-20 minutes for others to arrive!

What if only one person has signed up?

While the event page may show only 1 or 2 RSVPs, we usually have more regular attendees. The usual group size is around 10-15 people.

If you want to practice and improve your Spanish or English, join us at The Tennent's Bar on Byres Road at 7:00 PM on Mondays and Thursdays. We have different hosts on different nights, and occasionally no host, but there will always be friendly people to give you a warm welcome. You can find us at the top of the stairs, where we'll be sitting on the long benches. We look forward to meeting you and chatting with you in Spanish and English.

We start with a 'Spanish half hour' followed by an 'English half hour' to ensure each language receives equal time and to introduce some fun topics to keep everyone engaged. We are excited to see our regular members and especially welcome new participants.
