Hello everyone! Starting from Monday, May 8th, our Monday evening gatherings will be held upstairs at Curlers, and our Thursday evening meetings will take place at Tennent's!

Curlers is conveniently located next to Hillhead subway station on Byres Rd. Once you enter, head upstairs, turn right, and you'll usually find us at the table in the far left corner by the window. Alternatively, when you enter Tennent's from Byres Rd, turn left, and you'll typically spot us at one of the tables near the windows!

FAQs

What level is required to attend?

The group is open to everyone, from beginners to native speakers. However, having at least a little conversational ability is helpful to actively participate!

What if I can't arrive exactly at 7 PM?

The group is very informal, and we usually stay for a few hours. Therefore, feel free to join whenever you can make it. If you arrive at 7 PM and no one is there yet, give it about 15-20 minutes for people to arrive!

What if there is only one person signed up?

Although the event page may indicate that only 1 or 2 people have RSVP'd, there are usually more regular attendees, and the usual group size is around 10-15 people.

If you want to practice and improve your Spanish or English, join us at The Tennent's Bar on Byres Road at 7 PM on Mondays and Thursdays. We have different hosts on different nights, and occasionally no host, but there will always be friendly people to give you a warm welcome. You can find us at the top of the stairs, where we'll be sitting on the long benches. We are excited to meet you and chat with you in Spanish and English!

We start with a 'Spanish half hour' followed by an 'English half hour' to ensure an equal amount of time for each language and perhaps some interesting topics to keep the conversation flowing. We look forward to seeing our regular attendees and extending a warm welcome to new members.
