Hello everyone! Starting from Monday, May 8th, our Monday evening gatherings will take place upstairs at Curlers, and on Thursdays, we'll be at Tennent's!

Curlers is conveniently located next to Hillhead subway on Byres Rd. As you enter, head upstairs, turn right, and you'll usually find us at the table in the far left corner by the window. Alternatively, when you enter Tennent's from Byres Rd, turn left and you'll spot us at one of the tables by the windows!

Frequently Asked Questions

What level of proficiency is required to attend?
Our group is open to everyone, from beginners to native speakers. However, having at least some conversational ability can enhance your experience!

If I can't make it exactly at 7:00 PM, is that a problem?
Our gatherings are very informal, usually lasting for a few hours. Feel free to join us whenever you can make it. If you arrive at 7:00 PM and nobody is there yet, give it around 15-20 minutes for others to arrive!

There is only one person signed up, will the event still happen?
While the event page may show only 1 or 2 RSVPs, we usually have more regular attendees, with an average group size of around 10-15 people.

If you want to practice and improve your Spanish or English, join us at The Tennent's Bar on Byres Road at 7:00 PM on Mondays and Thursdays. We have different hosts on different nights, and sometimes no host at all, but there will always be friendly individuals to give you a warm welcome. You can find us at the top of the stairs, sitting on the long benches. We're excited to meet you and have a chat in Spanish and English.

We start with a 'Spanish half hour' followed by an 'English half hour' to ensure each language receives equal time and perhaps some enjoyable topics to keep the conversation flowing. We can't wait to see our regular members and extend a special welcome to newcomers.
