Hello everyone! Starting from Monday, May 8th, our Monday evenings will be held at Curlers, and our Thursday evenings will take place at Tennent's!

Curlers is conveniently located next to Hillhead subway on Byres Rd. When you enter, head upstairs, turn right, and you'll usually find us at the table in the far left corner by the window. Alternatively, when you enter Tennent's from Byres Rd, turn left, and we are normally seated at one of the tables by the windows!

FAQs

What level is required to join?
The group is open to and attended by everyone, from beginners to native speakers. Having even a little conversational ability will be helpful to participate!

If I can't arrive exactly at 7:00 PM, is that a problem?
The group is very informal, and we usually stay for a few hours at least. So, feel free to join whenever you can make it. If you arrive at 7:00 PM and nobody is there yet, give it around 15-20 minutes for people to arrive!

There is only one person signed up, will the event still take place?
While the event page may show only 1 or 2 people have RSVP'd, there are usually more regular attendees, and the usual group size is around 10-15 people.

Join us at The Tennent's Bar on Byres Road at 7:00 PM every Monday and Thursday if you want to practice and improve your Spanish or English. We have different hosts on different nights, and occasionally none, but there will always be friendly people to give you a warm welcome. You can find us at the top of the stairs, where we'll be sitting on the long benches. We are excited to meet you and chat with you in Spanish and English.

We start with a 'Spanish half hour' followed by an 'English half hour' to ensure each language gets equal time and perhaps some fun topics to keep everyone engaged in conversation. We can't wait to see all our regular members and extend a special welcome to newcomers.
