- We encourage you to arrive on time. The event will kick off with informal socializing until everyone is present. The debate will commence at approximately 7:30 PM and will run for about 60 to 90 minutes, followed by mingling opportunities.
- Enjoy a variety of refreshments, including tea, milkshakes, beverages, pizza, hotdogs, and snacks (with plant-based options available) from the bar.

TOPIC OF DISCUSSION: Diversity and Inclusion Policies

DEBATE FORMAT
The format will either be a turn-based debate (Model United Nations style) or table group discussions, determined by attendance on the night. Generally, the structure is as follows:
- Introductions and initial insights (~15 minutes).
- Group discussions based on specific questions (~25 minutes).
- Concluding opinions round (~20 minutes).

EVENT ETIQUETTE (Guidelines & Expectations)
- Focus on debating the topic, not the individuals – personal attacks are prohibited!
- Please refrain from using phones, interrupting, or standing idly.
- Adhere to the instructions and guidelines set by the moderator/host.

ABOUT WORLD CITIZENS
We are one of the largest and longest-established communities in London. Since 2012, we have been hosting social events, cultural activities, and thought-provoking discussions aimed at fostering meaningful exchanges and learning among global professionals in London.

EVENT DETAILS
What: A structured debate session followed by networking opportunities
When: Tuesday, from 7:00 PM until late. The debate will begin after 7:30 PM to maximize socializing time.
Where: Curzon Aldgate (bar area), 2 Canter Way, E1 8PS
Nearest stations: Aldgate East, Aldgate, Tower Hill/Gateway
Cost: Attendees are responsible for their own meals and drinks.
Hosts: Our events feature a rotating team of hosts, with regular members available to assist with any questions.

NOTE: Our volunteer hosts, like most attendees, may arrive after the event starts. We greatly appreciate punctuality, so feel free to socialize or grab a snack while waiting. Regular members are on hand to help with basic inquiries.
