- Arrive on time! We begin with casual networking until all guests are present. The debate officially kicks off at 7:30 PM and lasts approximately 60 to 90 minutes, followed by more mingling.
- Enjoy a variety of refreshments, including tea, milkshakes, beverages, pizza, hotdogs, and snacks (with plant-based options available) at the bar.

TOPIC OF DISCUSSION: Diversity and Inclusion Policies

DEBATE FORMAT
We will choose between a turn-based debate (Model United Nations style) or small group discussions based on the turnout that evening. Typically, our agenda includes:
- Introductions and opening thoughts (~15 minutes).
- Group discussions focusing on specific questions (~25 minutes).
- Final round of opinions and reflections (~20 minutes).

EVENT ETIQUETTE (Guidelines & Expectations)
- Focus on debating the topic, not the individuals - personal attacks are strictly prohibited!
- Please refrain from using phones, interrupting, or remaining passive.
- Always adhere to the moderator's or host's instructions and guidelines.

WHAT IS WORLD CITIZENS?
We are one of London's largest and longest-established communities, dedicated to hosting social events, cultural experiences, and stimulating discussions since 2012, aimed at encouraging meaningful exchanges among global professionals in London.

EVENT LOCATION DETAILS
What: Structured debate followed by social networking
When: Tuesday, starting at 7:00 PM and continuing late into the evening. The debate will start after 7:30 PM to facilitate more socializing.
Where: Curzon Aldgate (bar area), 2 Canter Way, E1 8PS
Nearest stations: Aldgate East, Aldgate, Tower Hill/Gateway
Cost: Attendees are responsible for their own food and drinks.
Hosts: A rotating team will facilitate the event, and our regular members are available to assist with any inquiries.

NOTE: Many of our volunteer hosts, like most attendees, may arrive after the start time due to work commitments. If you arrive early or on time, we greatly appreciate it! Feel free to begin socializing or grab a bite to eat or drink - that’s the essence of our events. Our regular members will be happy to assist you with any basic questions.
