Join us for an engaging evening dedicated to women's rights as we explore the complexities of gender equality, more than a century after the inaugural International Women's Day. This event will feature a lively debate and introduce an interactive "Change-My-View" game, designed to foster understanding and respect for women's perspectives across diverse cultures.
All are welcome! Please familiarize yourself with our essential guidelines before attending.
IMPORTANT: Our meeting takes place at a public café where the staff is not involved with the event. To locate us, head directly to the orange seating area adjacent to the long wall adorned with numerous photographs. Additional assistance can be found in the comments below!

Time: The evening begins with a social gathering as we wait for the majority and the moderator to arrive. The debate will last approximately 60-90 minutes, followed by a mingling session.

Closest stations: Aldgate East, Aldgate, Tower Hill/Gateway
Cost: Attendees are responsible for their own meals and drinks. The bar offers a variety of options, including tea, milkshakes, beverages, pizza, hotdogs, and plant-based snacks.

HOW TO FIND US
Look for the row of orange chairs next to the long wall filled with photographs. Please wait there until you see a gathering of attendees or one of our hosts recognizes you. For additional guidance, check the comments below. Please refrain from asking the café staff for assistance.
DEBATE STRUCTURE
While the format may adapt based on attendance, we typically follow a structured discussion format inspired by Model United Nations (MUN) debates. The usual flow includes:
- Introductions and initial thoughts (~15 mins)
- Group discussions by question (~25 mins per question)
- Final round of opinions (~20 mins).
EVENT ETIQUETTE
(Essential rules & expectations)
- Focus on debating the topic, not the individuals - personal attacks are not permitted!
- No mobile devices, interruptions, or passive participation.
- Always adhere to the moderator's and host's instructions.
