Antalya

Antalya is a province in southern Turkey, on the Mediterrenean coast. It has a shoreline of 630 km, where beautiful beaches are lined up and ancient cities are scattered all over the place.

Antalya is like the touristic capital of Turkey, it is the province attracting the highest number of foreign tourists. Antalya has attractive coastal cities like Alanya, Kemer, Kas and Side. You can have a great time in Antalya enjoying the Mediterrenean sea and sun, and seeing the ruins of the ancient Greek civilization. Mountains come very close to the shoreline at some points, preparing the perfect opportunity for activities like paragliding or rafting.

  The cities in Antalya province are Antalya center, Alanya, Kemer, Kas, Manavgat, Serik, Gazipasa, Finike, Kale, Kumluca, Akseki, Gundogmus, Ibradi, Korkuteli and Elmali. Significant historical sites in Antalya are:
- Termessos, Ariassos, Karatay old religious school, Murat Pasa Mosque and Tekeli Mehmet Pasa Mosque in Antalya center. The Antalya fortress and yacht harbour, the city walls, Hadrian's Gate, the Hidirlik Tower, Kesik Minare, Yivli Minare and Iskele Mosque are other important historical sites in the city walls of Antalya.
