In a Jamaican household, Sunday dinner holds a special significance. It is a time when the chef of the household pours time, effort, and love into preparing a meal for the family, neighbors, and friends.

Sunday dinner at Ashs Plek is a laid-back affair, with two courses served in sharing bowls, allowing guests to savor as much or as little as they desire.

To Start
Savor the flavors of Ackee and saltfish with Jamaican dumplings or Ackee and sweet peppers with Jamaican dumplings (vegan).

About the dish
Sauteéd white onions, garlic, sweet peppers, tomatoes, spring onions, and thyme mixed with flakes of cod fish (or sweet peppers for the vegan friendly version) and topped with creamy ackee. Served with Jamaican fried dumplings.

Main
Choose between Jamaican chicken curry or Jamaican red lentil curry.

About the dish
Chicken marinated for 48 hours in a blend of aromatic spices (or red lentils) and then cooked with Jamaican curry powder. Served with steamed white rice and Jamaican coleslaw.
