Embark on an unforgettable journey to The Hague in the Netherlands! Join Dana and a group of fellow explorers as we delve into the city's rich history, vibrant culture, and breathtaking landscapes. From the renowned Mauritshuis Museum to the charming City Center and picturesque Scheveningen Beach, there's an abundance of sights to discover.

Sunday, October 15, 2023, from 9:15 AM to 6:30 PM

WHERE

We will meet at Amsterdam Central Station - IJhal, next to Starbucks. Look for the orange square on the map, which marks the meeting point with Dana. (See map below)

Tickets & AIC Card:

• Train ticket + Museum ticket: €51 (€49 with AIC CARD). Get your AIC Card here.
• Tickets without attractions: €5 (FREE with AIC CARD). In this case, you will arrange your train ticket and museum ticket or use a Museum Card.
• Local transport is not included in the tickets.
• Tickets are non-refundable and cannot be swapped.

How does it work?

We will gather at 9:15 AM sharp, as we have a train to catch!

Transportation: NS Train, 2nd class from Amsterdam Central to The Hague.

Upon arrival, we will take a short walk from the train station to visit The Mauritshuis Royal Picture Gallery. Immerse yourself in the masterpieces of Vermeer, Rembrandt, Rubens, and Jan Steen, including the iconic "Girl with the Pearl Earring." After our museum visit, we will head to the city center for lunch at a restaurant. Feel free to bring your own lunch or choose something delightful from the local options. Following lunch, we will explore the city center together and discover its other attractions. Later, we have two exciting options: Option 1 is to visit Scheveningen Strand neighborhood, where we can stroll along the beach, enjoy a coffee at a terrace, and take a ride on the SkyView de Pier Ferris wheel. Option 2 is to explore the famous miniature park Madurodam, which showcases 1:25 scale replicas of Dutch landmarks and historical cities. Finally, we will reconvene at the train station to return to Amsterdam, with the train departing around 5-5:30 PM.

Please note that the trip is limited to 20 participants. Reservations will close on September 29th at 1:00 PM.

AIC will purchase the train tickets in advance, and each ticket is individual. Remember to bring valid identification with a photo (passport, identity card, or driving license) as it will be checked by the controller.
