An easy and enjoyable route along the path that connects Castelló d'Empúries with the mouth of the Fluvià River in Empuriabrava, following the river's course.

2- Stroll through the heart of the Aiguamolls de l'Empordà
A very easy and pleasant walk between the Cortalet pond and the Mas del Mata pond to enjoy one of the most important wetlands on the peninsula.

3- Guided tour of Castelló d'Empúries, a monumental town and medieval capital of the ancient county
They say what goes around, comes around. Well, when one arrives in Castelló d'Empúries, they quickly realize the significant splendor the town had in the past. During the guided tour of the town, we will have the opportunity to delve into its fascinating history and discover its magnificent and monumental church, known as the Cathedral of the Empordà; the alleys of the old Jewish quarter; the ancient convents of Sant Domènec and Sant Agustí; the House of the Council and the Sea Exchange; the court and its prison; the imposing Contracting Hall; the remains of the wall and its gates...

4- Free time for lunch in Empuriabrava, the largest residential marina in Europe
After visiting Castelló d'Empúries and following the first walk, we will have free time for lunch in Empuriabrava, the largest residential marina in Europe known for its canals.

Main attractions of the excursion:
1- Enjoy two beautiful and easy flat walks in the Aiguamolls de l'Empordà
2- Visit the monumental Castelló d'Empúries, the capital of the ancient county
3- Admire the beauty and understand the fragility of the Aiguamolls de l'Empordà
4- (Re)discover the canals of Empuriabrava, the largest residential marina in Europe

THE ITINERARY

• 8am: Meeting at Plaça Universitat (main entrance of the University of Barcelona) to board our private coach
• 10-12pm: Arrival in Castelló, free time for breakfast and guided tour
• 12-2pm: Walk to Empuriabrava
• 2-4pm: Free time for lunch and enjoy the canals and beach
• 4-4.30pm: Coach to Cortalet
• 4.30-6pm: Guided walk through the heart of the Aiguamolls de l'Empordà
• 6pm: Return coach, arriving in Barcelona around 8pm
